Aliases



Under Aliases, you can see the existing aliases for all the network interfaces. You can add, edit or delete aliases using this screen. Aliases are used to map more than one IP to a given network interface.

For example, if you have two servers on your network with valid IPs and you want to NAT them to these servers on your LAN or DMZ, you will need to use this option. To ensure that the servers still remain accessible to your users on the Internet, you would need to create aliases on the firewall's external interface using those external IPs. You could then add suitable rules to allow external users to connect safely, via the firewall, to the necessary ports on those servers.

To modify Aliases click on button.


To delete Aliases click on button.


              Aliases changes will take effect after network restart.
