Routing Table
This tab views Default Routing Table and Dynamic Routing Table.
Default Routing Table
● Destination: Destination Host/Network.
● Gateway: Selected Gateway for Destination Host/Network.
● Netmask: Netmask of Destination Host/Network.
● Flags: Possible flags includes:
⇒ U (route is up).
⇒ H (target is a host).
⇒ G (use gateway).
⇒ R (reinstate route for dynamic routing).
⇒ D (dynamically installed by daemon or redirect).
⇒ M (modified from routing daemon or redirect).
⇒ A (installed by addrconf).
⇒ C (cache entry).
⇒ ! (reject route).
● MSS: Maximum Segment Size. The MSS value is calculated based on the formula MSS = MTU - 40 bytes.
● Window: TCP window size.
● irtt: Initial Round Trip Time (in milliseconds).
● Interface: Name for Interface.
Dynamic Routing Table
● Route Type: Displays Route Type.
● Destination: Destination Host/Network.
● Distance/Metric: Value of Distance and of Metric.
● Via: IP of host via network is connected.
● Interface: Name for Interface.
● Time Elapsed: Time since route is selected.
Dynamic Routing Table is available if either of RIP or OSPF is configured and is running. |
